Most people are unaware that all the best Vizio Soundbars come with an Auto On feature. Once you have enabled this, your Vizio Soundbar will automatically turn on and off along with your TV, mirroring the television settings. It is a simple process that can be done in a matter of minutes. Read along to get familiar with the Auto On feature available on Vizio Soundbar and learn how to enable it.
How to Enable Auto On on Vizio Soundbar
In order to make your Vizio Soundbar turn on and off automatically, you need to connect the Vizio soundbar to your TV and make some changes in its settings.
1. Take a properly working HDMI ARC cable and plug one end of it into the HDMI port of your television.
2. Now, connect the other end of the HDMI ARC cable to the Vizio Soundbar through its HDMI port.
3. Once that is done, connect both your TV and Vizio Soundbar to a power outlet and turn it on.
Note: Ensure you connect the TV and the soundbar using the HDMI cable. If you have used the optical cable, then you cannot turn on Anynet+. Generally, the Anynet+ feature turns on automatically as soon as the devices are turned on. If that did not happen, then you also enable it manually.
4. On the remote, press and hold the Right Arrow button found on the directional pad for a few seconds.
5. Let go of the button as soon as the Anynet+ option turns on.
6. After that, press the Source button on your Vizio Soundbar and turn on the Digital Input Mode.
This will enable the Auto On feature available on the Vizio Soundbar.
Modify the Speaker Settings on TV
If the soundbar doesn’t turn on after enabling the above steps, then it could be the incorrect TV speaker settings. This will vary slightly from television to television.
1. On your TV, navigate to the Settings and open the Speaker Settings.
2. Under that, set your settings to Prefer the receiver option.
This will enable the Auto On option on the Vizio Soundbar. Every time you turn on your TV, the connected Vizio Soundbar will also turn on along with it.

The Auto On option works both ways, including the auto turn on and auto turn off. There is no separate auto turn-off available for the Vizio sound bar.
Loosen HDMI cables are the major cause of these issues. So, inspect the HDMI cables and make sure they’re connected properly.
