How to Setup Samsung Soundbar with TV for Dolby Atmos
If you are setting up your Samsung Soundbar with your Samsung TV or any other brand TV, use the steps below to connect your soundbar to the TV to get Dolby Atmos output using HDMI cable.
1. Connect one end of the HDMI cord to the HDMI IN ARC port of your TV.
2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cord to the HDMI OUT ARC port on your Samsung Soundbar.
How to Enable Dolby Atmos on Samsung Soundbar
Enabling the HDMI eARC and HDMI CEC on your TV will enable the Dolby Atmos on Samsung Sounbar. If you use a Samsung TV with a Samsung Soundbar, use the steps below to get Dolby Atmos output.
Note: Only the Samsung Smart TV models manufactured after 2020 supports the Dolby Atmos feature.
1. From your Samsung Smart TV, go to Settings and select All Settings.
2. Click on the Sound option and select Expert Settings.
3. Change the HDMI-eARC Mode and Digital Output Audio Format to Auto.
4. Scroll down and enable the Dolby Atmos Compatibility option.
5. Now, navigate back to Settings and select the General option.
6. Click on External Device Manager and turn On Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
For non-Samsung TVs, changing the output to HDMI eARC on the Audio settings and turning on HDMI CEC will enable Dolby Atmos sound on the Samsung Soundbar.
FAQ
While playing Dolby Atmos content, the LED status lights on the Samsung Soundbar will display the Dolby Atmos text.
If the Dolby Atmos is not working on your Samsung Soundbar, try power cycling your soundbar. Update your Samsung Soundbar to the latest version and reset your soundbar.
